A clearer path to financing your next flute.

Whether you are ready to purchase online, planning a longer-term instrument search, or comparing lender options, this page brings the current public financing paths into one place.

Use the cards below to decide where to start. Financing can also be used for qualifying non-instrument purchases such as cases and accessories, so call our team if you want help matching the purchase, timing, and payment route.

Where to start

Choose the financing path that matches how you want to buy.

Some players are ready to check out online. Others want an installment loan or a phone-guided conversation first.

Installment loan

United Midwest Savings Bank

This is the direct installment-loan application we currently use for longer-term financing. It is the clearest starting point when you already know financing will be part of the purchase.

Financing options

  • 60-month installment financing
  • 12.99% APR

Subject to approval.

Phone-guided option

Synchrony Financing

Synchrony can be a fit for eligible new and pre-owned instruments through deferred-interest promotions, standard revolving credit, or longer-term loan offers depending on approval and the instrument involved.

Financing options

  • 6-month deferred interest on eligible instruments
  • 12-month deferred interest on select new Amadeus, Haynes Q Series, Powell Sonare, and Yamaha instruments
  • Loan offers: 24 months at 10.99% APR • 48 months at 13.99% APR • 84 months at 11.74% APR
  • Standard revolving APR: 29.99%–34.99%

Brannen Lafin instruments do not qualify for Synchrony credit-card offers. Subject to approval.

Online checkout option

Shop Pay Installments

Shop Pay Installments is available at online checkout for eligible orders. It can be useful if you are ready to complete the purchase online and prefer to review installment options there.

Financing options

  • Eligible orders may qualify for 4 interest-free payments or monthly installments
  • Rates from 0%–36% APR based on credit
  • Options depend on purchase amount, and a down payment may be required

Subject to an eligibility check through Affirm's lending partners.

How it usually works

A little planning keeps the last step simpler.

These are the moments that usually make financing feel smoother and more predictable.

01

Start with the instrument and the timing

Once you know the instrument family or short list, we can help you match the financing path to the purchase timeline.

02

Apply before the final decision if financing is likely

Approvals are generally good for 30 days, so an early application can keep the process moving once you narrow the instrument.

03

Finish the details with our team

We help connect the financing approval to the instrument side of the transaction. If a trial shipment is part of the process, the usual card hold still applies until financing is complete.

Common questions

What players usually ask before they apply.

This is the part that helps clarify timing, trials, special orders, and what happens after approval.

Who can apply for financing?
  • You must be 18 or older to apply.
  • The instrument purchase must be at least $899.
  • You must be a legal resident of the United States.
Can I use financing with a trial instrument?

Yes, you can explore financing while deciding, but trial shipments still require a credit-card hold. Financing is finalized after the paperwork is complete, so it does not replace the collateral hold used for a trial.

Should I apply before requesting a trial or store visit?

We recommend it if financing will likely be part of the decision. Applying early helps the process move faster once you have narrowed the instrument, and approvals are generally good for 30 days.

What if I have limited credit history or expect a decline?

If you expect the application to be borderline, applying with a co-applicant is usually the strongest starting point. That can help avoid delays and keep the process moving.

What happens after I am approved?

Once approval is in place, our flute department will follow up to help finish the instrument side of the transaction. For finalized loan documents or payment questions after completion, First Mutual should be contacted directly at (800) 468-2255.

Can financing be used on a special order?

Yes, for the remaining balance before the instrument ships. Special orders still require the normal non-refundable deposit to begin production, so financing does not replace that initial deposit.

Another option

Layaway stays available for players who want more time.

For some purchases, layaway is the simpler fit when you want room to plan without a loan application.

  • Up to 12 months with 20% down
  • No penalty for early payment
  • No minimum monthly payment
